Messages Per Minute Is based on the amount of messages per minute that the mail daemon can handle and keep the server load at 1.00, this is not a hard limit!

How It Works!
sMxPanel allows admins to easily establish a trust between the secondary MX Server and there productions cPanel Servers. sMxPanel connects to your cPanel servers over port 2087 (secure WHM) and pulls a list of domains on each server. It then takes this list and feeds it to exim which tells exim accepts mail received for those domains. Exim then trys to deliver the message to the primary server and if the connection is unsuccessful it stores the message until a specified time limit when it then retrys to deliver the message.

Why Would I Need This Service?
Lets face it, even if you have your servers in a clustered enviorment there are still many other things that can happen out in the world that could cause email sent from another location to not reach your primary mail server. Today E-Mail is a very important form of communication and when your primary server is was unreachable what is the most common question your users ask? In our experience it's always, "What happened to E-Mail that was sent to the server during the outage?". You can now tell those users that no E-Mail was lost, and that you have taken the right precausions to protect your them from lossing mail sent to their business!

Why Would I Run cPanels DNS-ONLY Also?
If you are using your cPanel Server as a nameserver and both of your ns's are pointed to that same machine it could be a problem. If that server is ever down remote mailservers will not be able to lookup dns information about domains using your nameservers. This is a problem when using sMxPanel because in order for those mail servers to redirect messages to sMxPanel they must be able to check your nameservers to find out the ip of the server. Adding cPanels DNS-ONLY version to the sMxPanel Server allows you to use cPanels DNS Clustering feature. When using this feature you would point one of your ns's to your primary cPanel server and the second ns to the ip of your sMxPanel Server. If your primary server is ever down, querys will be sent to your second ns, your sMx Server.
